Sketchbooking: Coffee Filter Art

Ellen had a very clear wish, she wanted to draw on “those triangle things”. She pointed to the cupboard and said “we have done it before.” It took me a minute, but then I realised she ment the coffee filters. It is easy and a lot of fun. First you draw all kinds of shapes and colours on to the coffee filter with felt tip pens and then you stand the coffee filter in a little bit of water and look at all the colours flowing into each other. After they dried we glued them into our sketchbook and used the felt tip pens to fill in the details. A cupboard filled with skirts, a ballet class and some vulcanos were the results.
