2 Craft: Tennis Ball Lady

150104-bal-craft-1Who says that sports and crafts don’t mix. Today we were at the Brisbane International Tennis tournament. It was kids day and all kinds of activities were organised. There were tennis games, a bouncy castle, face painting, a show with all kinds of characters and a table with crafts. Guess what Ellen wanted to do…

It was a great craft I thought. With pompoms, chenille sticks, glitter glue and googly eyes we got to make a ball face. The tennis ball had a slid cut into it as kind of a mouth, but the rest was up to us. And as glitter was involved Ellen was having a ball (sorry, pun intended.) The glue was horrible though and I have just reglued everything with pva glue, but the result was/is very cute.150104-bal-craft-2

  • tennis ball (craft knife to make a mouth)
  • pompoms
  • chenille sticks
  • pieces of feather
  • glitter glue
  • googly eyes
  • pva glue

Take a tennis ball, ours already had a slid, but make a slid in your representing the mouth. Use googly eyes to give the tennis ball eyes. Glue with pva glue, not with the glitter glue. Then decorate to your hearts content…150104-bal-craft-3
